LOOKING OUR BEST FOR OURSELVES

I love food and yummy food rich in texture that make my mouth water. I've been a vagetarian for 15 years. I used to eat cheese cake, breads and many other high calorie foods. The one thing I discover that too many carbs was not working and as a vegetarian it's mostly what I eat. Then I learned I can still eat foods that are high in fat but I don't have to eat alot of it. We need fat to burn fat, so let's eat cautiously and enjoy every bite.

I do enjoy eating my favorite "hands of foods" once in a while, then I curve off them asap. I found that once I give into the urge of eating ice cream everyday, that easily become a habit. Anything that tastes good and I put in my mouth, my body wants it. So I talk to my body and say oh no dear we can eat that once in a while but not every week and not every day.

To maintain my weight, i watch what I eat and don't deprive the foods I enjoy, but only once in a while. It's easier to eat healthy on a regular basis. I noticed when I don't prep my food with love, don't plan ahead of time, or when I let myself get really busy and don't stop working, I miss to plan out meals or procastinate food shopping. I definately run into trouble then and eat whatever. Yikes! So I'm careful to plan ahead as I shop I think of the recipies to cook what's healthy. Also I love smoothies and fresh fruit and I find this is the best way to get my sweet cravings under control.

Everyone that's not a vegetarian has more options for protein and can create well balanced meals. One of the most powerful tools I've learned is to fast. I fast 5 days twice a year and eat intermittently during the week. Yeap! that works! It can be fun and eat well and tasty foods too.
